Deep Space is a virtual gallery, and the images above, which were created by compiling elements from various galleries from around the world, serve as an anchor point for artists to use as they create their exhibitions.
In creating the space, I wanted to choose something that was highly functional, had personality, and posed a few small challenges. The exercise of creating the space was the first time I had considered the question: If I could rent a gallery space, what would I want it to look like? The space that I have created, which has mysteriously perfect lighting and no door (because why would a virtual gallery need one?) is close to perfect, but it is still small enough to be both feasible and manageable, for me and the artists.
